Is there a distraction that acts like Denham's Dental Dentifrice in your life? Explain.
Something that distracts me like Denham's Dental Dentifrice would be when people are tapping thier fingers on the desk or taping thier feet on the floor, it then doesnt let me think or concentrate on what i 'am doing.
By: Karina Morelos Per.1
When someone taps their foot or makes a rhythmic sound, it sometimes distracts me and does not let me think of what I'm trying to think of.
-Johanna B. P1
Something that distracts me just like the Denham's Dental Dentrifice would be when people chew on gum or eat candy with their mouth open.
-Chris Ladeau P.2
Something that distracts me is when people always make the squeaking noise with their shoe on the bottom of the desk. i just can not focus with the squeaking noise is being made.
Juan Madrid Period 1
I gotta say when someone chews a piece of gum like its the only piece of gum they have chewed in their life. that distracts me like Denhams Dental Dentrifice. Not only does it distract me, it is also a pet peeve.
Kevin Duran P.2
The biggest thing that distracts me is that i shake my leg. Shaking my leg can also be annoying to people who can feel the vibrations. It's something that i can't help and whenever i realize i'm doing it i have to consciously stop moving my leg. This usually distracts me from hearing what a person is saying because i'm completely focused on trying to stop shaking.
- Christy McCallister Period 2.
Wherever I sit down I usually feel this insatiable craving to tap out a rhythm unless my mind is occupied. Usually I fear this annoys others more than it does me but I never seem to stop this senseless unfaltering flow of tapping.
-Fernando D. Period 2
When someone is clicking their pens it is a distraction like Denham's Dental Dentrifrice.
~Alyssa Aguilar P.2
A distraction to me like Denham's Dental Dentrifrice is Whenever someone it tapping their fingers on a desk or their foot.
-Joselin Rafael ♥
A distraction like that is when someone just never stops bugging you.
A distraction to me like Denham's Dental Dentrifrice is when people interupt me; it bothers to not be able to finish my sentence.
-Yasmin Serrano, Period 2
A distraction to me like Denham's Dental Detrifice is when people slamming thier hands making a beat on the table.
-Mark Galvan Per.1
A distraction that acts like Denham's Dental Dentifrice to me is when I'm trying to do chores, homework, etc and my mom wants me downstairs right away. It annoys me.
-Elizabeth Cole Period 2
I have this thing I do where after I hear somethging- any words at all- I type it onto my fingers like I am texting it on a phone. I hear ""tendons", and I type it onto each segement on my fingers, like using Abc font on a keypad of my phone. When I do this, I zone out, and forget what I was doing.
-Dylan Harris Period 2
The one thing that really distracts me like Denham's Dental Dentrifice is when peopkle are chewing gum and smacking it around in their mouth. Whenever I hear this I get so distracts because it sounds like they aren't even closing their mouth while chewing and it bugs the heck out of me.
-Lauren P. Period 1
Something that distracts me like Denham's Dental Dentrifice is when someone is tapping their pencil on the desk. When I hear this it makes me lose my total focus and it gets annyoing after a while.
Gaby Gallegos Period 2
A distraction that acts like Denham's distraction to me would be when people chew their gum loudly or when people keep clicking their pen.
-Iris G. Period 1
Something that acts like Denham's Dental Dentrifice in my life is the sound of styrofoam being rubbed against itself, the sound makes me want to cry. It's not an exaggeration as it might seem; the sound of markers also drives me crazy.
-Niye Turner p.2
I get distracted very easily, so there are a lot of things that can act like Denham's Dental Dentrifice. If someone just talks to me i get distracted , people clicking their pens. anything i can find i will get disratced.
-Serena L. P.2 :)
I get distracted when a person taps on their desk or by clicking a pen. It makes it harder for me to concentrate.
-Cheyanne Ervin , P.2
My biggest distraction, especially when I am taking a test, is when I am hungry. I cannot think to save my life on an empty stomach.
B Jones P. 2
A distraction that is equivalent to Denham's Dental Dentrifice in my life is when I am reading and there is a racket in my house. This causes me to get off topic and it doesn't allow me to finish doing what I am doing.
- Esteban Ojeda P.1
A strong distraction in my life that is equivalent to Denham's Dental Dentrifice is my phone. The reason i say this is because it distracts me from time to time and disrupts me from my thinking process.
-Matthew Orona,
When I think of a distraction like Denham's Dental Dentrifice in my life, I think of two things. First is when people tap of shake their legs. I find it so distracting, I just can't think. Second, when I'm having a nice long conversation with a friend or anyone else, I find myself with no regard for anything else.
~Amanda Gaba
There are many things i find distracting/annoying. Some of the biggies though is the tapping on the desk or the pen clicking. These things just find a way to get into my brain so i have nothing else to think about, it makes me crazy.
- Jordan Gitmed, Period 1
the thing that distracts me like Denham's dental dentifrice is when people are shaking their leg under the table because I cannot concentrate on my work because I'm focused the people shaking their leg.
Monique Llamas, Period 1
The one thing that distracts me the most would be my cell-phone because I can never stay focus to do my homework or any type of work that needs to be done.
Julie Cameron, Period 1
Technology is a big distraction for me. Listening to music while doing homework is sometimes affective, I feel I can retain more information while making it less of a drag. I hardly ever have the time to make a playlist and I easily get tired of listening to the same songs after a while so I resort to the internet. Deciding what to listen to easily takes up five to eight minutes, I have a bad habit of focusing more on music than school work sometimes. I get really irritated when I realize how much time I have wasted. Notifications from my phone every hour don’t help either.
-Claudia Lara, Period 2
Something that distracts be my cellphone or when people chew with their mouth open. when i have my phone i can never stay focus. And when someone chews with their mouth open it becomes a serious distraction for me.
~Rayven adams, period 2
My phone and my laptop are my two biggest distractions; when im trying to finish my homework i find myself terribly drawn to these objects.

(Wait until we've finished the book before answering this question.)
Do you think Montag and the book people can rebuild their world? Will their knowledge be appreciated?
Alone, no. But if they try hard enough and keep the mindset that they do now then possibly. I honestly don't think that their knowledge will be appreciated one bit. The society will just label them as " Socially Awkward " like they did Clarisse, then no one will try to listen to what they have to say.
-Cheyanne Ervin, Per. 2
i think that they can because with knowledge anything is possible.
--Maritza Cortez P.1--
Depends on the way they do it, i think violence would have to be the way to go. its my own opinion but if they didn't before, it is gonna take a long time before they go back to reading books.
_Kevin Duran P.2
Montags world have been through a lot of change in a negative way that it seems all hope is gone. Society may never learn to appreciate literature.
Fernando Morales P.1
they can because people are going get tired of being messed with and eventually turn against them. their knowledge will be appreciated when everyone is reading them.
-Juan Madrid Period 1
I honestly do not think they can rebulid the world because they have had people before who memorized books and it is so hard to change peoples points of view. So no I do not believe that they can just reshape everyones morals.
~Alyssa Aguilar p.2
Montag and the book people will be capable of building their world. The will of the people, if transferred between generations, will eventually become a reality. The people that will accept their knowledge, the forgotten books of long ago, will most certainly accept the philosophies and tales from the memorized books.
-Fernando D. Period 2
no they can not rebuild their world it is to destroyed. yes their knowledge will be appreciated.
edward robledo p 2
I think they can rebuild their world because they have the knowledge to know how to rebuild it. I believe with as smart as they are, they have the ability to do anything they want in thier society; they also have more than one person to create ideas. I think only some people will respect their knowledge.
-Lauren P. Period 1
I think that montag and the book people will be able to rebuild their world because they all have enough knowledge to do it, but it also depends on the survivors and if they are willing to make a change. Their knowledge will someday be appreciated.
-Martin R period 2
I believe that they can rebuild their world, but it would take a long time time to get the society to understand them and regain their knowledge. I think that slowly when people start to gain knowledge they will slowly start to appreciate Montag and the book people.
-Ivonne Morales, Period 1
I think they can rebuild it to a certain extent. I believe over the course of a few years they can rebuild a city, but I'm not sure if they're technology will be anywhere as advanced as it was before. The dumb people will not appreciate their knowledge. I will not understand it.
-Dylan Harris Period 2
I think they can if they get everybody else to read books and not have them banned anymore. They all have knowledge and i am sure they can do it.
-Serena L. P. 2
I think that the book people would eventually be able to rebuild there world. But i do not think that their knowledge will be appreciated. All anyone else in that society knows is that books are bad and should be burned. Maybe in time they would get people to see the importance of books but it'll take quite along time.
Christy McCallister Period 2.
I believe that they can rebuild. if they are strong enough and they fight whoever gets in the way then they can rebuild their world. their knowledge may not me appreciated at first but once they show the world that they have more knowledge then people think then they will be appreciated.
Kassie Petrosino P2
As a community the book people might be able to piece the community back together. Without the help of other people who've escaped society they might not even be well rounded enough (have the knowledge to) to rebuild what's broken. Their knowledge will be appreciated by those who haven't attained the same books as them and the same for them.
-Niye Turner p. 2
I believe that they will e ale to rebuild the world because they all have knowledge and with knowledge anything problem they face can e solved. No, not everyone will appreciate knowledge because their will people who do not agree with what you think is right.
-Monique Llamas p.1
Eventually i do believe they can rebuild their world. everything has to start somewhere. If they bring knowledge into a new world it will be appreciated because chances are, that will be the only thing these new people in this new world know.
-Jordan Gitmed, Period 1
I do believe the dystopia can be rebuilt into a better place maybe as it was before. There knowledge will be apreciated because they do not know if there are other people also questioning the society they live in. If Montag was able to find people like Clarisse and the librarian it can be possible to find others like them to help rebuild the community and spread the knowledge.
-Brian B.
Period 1
I highly do believe that Montag and the rest can rebuild their society into something better and new. With rebuilding a new society and having people believe that knowledge is good will take some time but with the time being I think that the knowledge they spread will be valuable. I think that Clarisse and the other people he met on his adventure really made him turn his perspective around about knowledge and would really like to meet and find people like Clarisse and other book smart people he met already.
-Julie Cameron, Period 1
I believe that they can rebuild their world just by spreading there knowledge around their societies. If they get enough people to listen, their knowledge will be appreciated.
- Esteban Ojeda, Period 1
I think they can rebuild their world. I that if they find more people who think and question the world around them, that in time their society can rise back on their feet. If they spread the of books and other resourse for knowledge, the people of their world will understand how important and powerful knowledge really is.
~Rayven Adams, Period 2
I do believe that Montag and the book people can change their world with their knoweledge. But I don't believe people will appreciated at frist because most of them will be afraid of change.
-Emilee Lopez, Period 1
I do believe that Montag and the book people can change thier world to have knowledge again. I believe that the people will need to learn to think before they can really understand what they are gonna do.
-Mark Galvan Per. 1
I believe that Montags society can get back to the way it was because maybe it took something this big to realize what kind of effects can happen on people. I believe people would be able to accepted the change because it has been like this for awhile.
-Elizabeth Cole. Period 2

Who is your hero? Briefly tell us why.
My hero would have to be my mom because she is the person who is always there for me when I need something. I would also have to say my mom because she is the one who is always supporting me and encouraging me in everthing i do.
-Karina Morelos Per.1
My heroes would have to be my grandparents because they encourage me to do my best in life and they are always there for my support.
-Cheyanne Ervin, Period 2
My hero would have to be my brother, he has been through alot but yet always has a smile on his face. I sometimes find myself wishing that one day i will grow up to have just as much heart as him. Although he is younger then me he still seems to have so much more patience and life lessons, it is quite odd.
~Alyssa Aguilar P.2
Hero, hero, hero. i would have to say Barack obama. mainly because he is our 1st black president all that ridicule he must recieve and on top of that death threats. that is truly astonoshing.
-Kevin Duran P.2
My hero would have to be my brother, Taylor. He is the sole reason I am as fast as Iam today. He changed my life the day I saw him sprint for the first time. He is my speed. He has given me lessons and advice over the years, and his presence puts me at piece at times when I need comfort. I always tried to be like him. In a way, we are a lot alike.
Dylan Harris Period 2
My hero would be my mom. She can deal with work, kids, payments and soccer practices all with a smile on her face. She never complains about how much she works. She always others need before herself. Someday I wish I could be the mom just as good like her.
Gaby Gallegos ♥ Period 2
My hero would have to be my aunt. She always seems to be happy and even through hard times can she still find some kind of hapiness.
-Mark Galvan
My hero would be my dad. When I was two or three years old my pinky was slammed against a sliding door which caused my pinky to nearly fall off. He took me to the hospital to stitch up my finger. The doctors told my dad that my finger would not make a full recovery. But my dad saw that it wouldn't heal the way they stitched my finger. So my dad took off the stitches from my pinky and stitched it back together himself. My dad actually saved me from losing my finger.
-Brian Barajas
Period 2
My hero would be my mom. my mom would be my hero because he is always there when i need her. one time when i messed up my wrist she went to my school to pick me up and take me to the doctor. aslo she is the person that always fedds me when i come from school.
Juan Madrid Period1
One of my heroes is my nephew Hector. He has been my rock and confident for as long as i can remember. He has helped me through many tough times in my life. I can tell him anything and i know that he will give me his honest opinion and what i tell him will stay secret. He always knows how to make me smile when i'm about to cry. Also, he did some pretty bad things when he was younger but now he has turned his life around and still finds the time to help me out with mine.
Christy McCallister Period 2
My hero is God cuz if it wouldnt of been for him i wouldnt of been living right now...
--Maritza Cortez--p.1
I hold great respect and the utmost admiration for my here, Nikola Tesla. The man was a genius of his own creations that invented AC currents, and the Tesla coil. He had the dream of creating wireless free energy for everyone. He never did though because Thomas Edison shunted Tesla into obscurity.
Fernando D. P.2
I would probably have to say that my hero is my brother. We may have our arguments and fights, but he is always that one person that could put a smile on my face when I am feeling down.
He is like my best friend. He knows what to say and how to make me feel better.
-Iris G. Period 1
My hero is my dad. He is always open and honest and respectable. He thinks that it doesn't really matter what is on the outside of a person that makes them who there are, rather it is what they do and with what attitude they do it. These opinions of my dad's are what made me respect him so much, and for that I am proud to call him my hero and my dad.
B Jones p.2
I don't have one hero, I have two. My parents, no matter what I have gone through, hard or happy times, they have always been there for me. They always support me in all of the things that I do.
Lauren P. P.1
My hero would be my mom because she sacrifices her time for all of her children and works had to help us get what we need and also is there for us no matter what.
-Martin R Period 2
I have a lot of heroes in my life because everyone supports and encourages me but my main hero is my grandma. My grandma is my main hero because she always listens to me, helps me threw any of my problems and she is very encouraging.
-Monique Llamas p. 2
My hero is mom because she has been through a lot and is a single parent. and she still manages to give us everything we need and want.
-Serena L. P.2
My hero would be my mom. She went through alot with us and she still stayed by our sides. She encourages and supports me to do my best and not to give up.
-Yanet Nunez per.1
My hero would be my mom. She has always beeen there for me. She goes thorugh quite a bit, with her five children, including myself. Even though we might argue every now and athen but, i love her. She is a real leader and i look up to that. She always knows what to do, and seems to always have an answer. When i'm older i hope i posses those qualities.
-Amanda Gaba per 1
My hero would have to be my grandfather. He is my most favorite person in the world. He has been through many different things including illnesses, but he always helps others and encourages me to strive to do my best. To me it seems he has the answer to everything.
- Jordan Gitmed, Period 1
My hero i would have too say is my mom. She has been there through the thick and the this. She is one of the most strongest women i know. I know i can always count on her; i love her very much.
Yasmin Serrano, Period 2
My hero would have to be my grandmother because she has always been the one who has looked out for me and although she has been through some rough times, she still keeps her head up.

Week of Nov. 7
From Book 12 of "The Odyssey," the Sirens' song symbolizes an irresistible temptation that can draw you to disaster. Tell us about the Sirens' song in your life.
My temptation would have to be electronics. It is electronics because because of all of the high power that they have , like TVs or iPods, I can get so easily distracted that it's ridiculous.
-Cheyanne Ervin, Period 2
My answer is kind of lame, but i can not resist ice cream. Ice cream is the greatest invention ever, expecially mint chocolate chip, I just love it. I can never say no to ice cream, whether it is 20 degrees outside, I'm full, or sick, or anything else. There is a danger though when it comes to my temptation, gaining weight (dun dun dun). i get over it though, because i just love ice cream.
-Amanda Gaba per.1
A temptation of mine that draws me to disaster is television. I have the temptation to watch TV when I am studying or doing any homework. I use the excuse of overworking myself to feel less guilty about watching TV all day. Because of TV I get distracted and forget about my work, leading me to last minute situations.
-Brian Barajas
Period 1
My temptation is texting. Whenever I get the chance I turn around and pull out my phone. This is a real problem for me because I can stay up all night talking to several people and find myself going to bed at 1 or even 2 in the morning. This results with me waking up extremely tired the next day.
-Haisley Mack, per.1
My temptation is video games. I always push things off and say I have time when I am playing video games. This leads me to staying up late doing homework. I like playing video games so it interferes with my school work.
Edward Robledo per.2
A temptation that draws me to disaster is movies. If I even come near to a television that is playing a movie, I can't resist. I always need to know the story of that movie, this is a bad habit because I always tell myself that I should relax and just watch a movie, but then as I'm watching that movie, I begin to think of other movies and end up always telling myself, "just one more." This never works out thought because I end up not doing my homework until 9 or 10. I have gotten better at this bad habit thought. I can't even remember the last time I stayed up late watching a movie.
Lauren P. P.1
My Siren song is the idea of procrastinating. You mean, I get to slack off and not to work for a little while longer? Great! Unfortunately, it usually results in staying late studying for a test that's worth a fourth of my grade. Sleep sometimes ends up in disaster, because I'm usually texting somebody, then fall asleep on them, which makes me feel bad. Lucky for me, the opther person falls asleep on me, too.
- Dylan Harris Period 2
My Sirens song in my life is sleep. Oh boy do I love to sleep. It can lead to disaster because I wouldn't do my homework or items that are due the next day. I personally don't sleep very well in the night so anytime i do get to fall asleep i take advantage of it, and never do my homework so I'm usually freaking out of it.
Elizabeth Cole. P.2
A temptation for is probably watching fights on tv or my phone. i usually do my homework after all the fun stuff is over and done with, sadly. then again i have many more things id rather do like text or for that matter anything over homework.... correction pretty much anything
-Kevin Duran P.2
The Siren's song in my life would have to be sound of the rain no thunder nor lighting just rain as I stand at my balcony and listen. i turn my head and see a flickering street light and i listen to the rain.
Taylor W. P.2
The Siren's song in my life would have to be sports, when i have problems i just go out and practice, i never think about it. I usually have one sport right after another, i love the adrenaline rush but i end up paying for it when i over do it and get to tired. I sometimes forget mentally i can handle it but not physically. And it usually does not cooperate with my homework schedule.
~Alyssa Aguilar P.2
the sirens song for me would be my laptop. It can often be disasterous because it can stop me from doing homework or studying. The temptation of facebook or shopping can stop me from doing anything.
Jordan Gitmed, Period 1
In my life I have the insurmountable temptation to consume sweet and savory delicacies. Food isn't an accurate way to describe my temptation as I am mainly geared towards sweets that I know. I rarely desire something I have yet to try until I have tasted it and so I desire for mainly chocolate, sweets, bacon, and fried meats.
Fernando D. P-2
My Siren`s song would have to be music. There has not been one day that i have gone without listening to music. This can be disasterous because it can lead me to not pay much attention to whats going on around me and when im doing homework it sometimes becomes a sort of distaction at times.
Ivonne Morales, Period 1
The Siren's song in my life would be tv. I always like to watch tv and when i do i forget about homework and projects which make me do things last minute.
Martin R Period 2
The Siren's song in my is food. i always love to eat food! whenever food is there i will eat it even if i am not hungry. i can all eat all day and sometimes i wont do my homework or something else i havw to do cause i eat.
-Serena L. P.2
My sirens song would have to be food. I cannot resist a good cheeseburger. It really doesn't affect me that much in life it also doesn't stop me from school or any thing else.
B Jones period 2
My Siren's song is watching television. I do my homework in the living room but I end up watching t.v. instead. I end up having to remove myself from the living room so I can do my homework.
~Gaby Gallegos Period 2
My temptation, as much as i would have to say it could be absolutely anything (because im so easily distracted!), would be sleep. Nowadays, im so tired and stressed that all i want to do is sleep! However, sleeping during the day throws me off schedule and messes up everything, but i still do it.
-Andrina Seryani, Period 1
My temptation in life is my phone. I'm always texting and listening to music when i should be spending time with my family. I need to learn to put it down and pay attention to my world more.
Matthew Orona P.1
My temptation would be my computer. I go on it to do homework but I get distracted by logging on to Facebook and end up not completing or even doing my homework at all.
Iris G. P.1
My temptation is my phone it easily distracts me from doing what i'm suppose to. Like if i'm suppose to be doing homework i'll usually be texting. This can be disastrous because it leads to procrastination. To fix it when i do my homework i leave my phone in my room on silent so that it can't distract me with texts.
-Christy McCallister Period 2
I can honestly saw my sirens of disaster is my cellphone or just technology in general. They have the unique power of distraction and causung you to procrastinate. Then now a days theres not one single thing that you cant do with your phone its madness. Every change i get i would be on my phone and it has become a habit that cant leave or be destroyed.
-Yasmin Serrano, Period 2
My temptation would have to be my computer because I’m always on it watching my favorite shows or listening to my favorite music. My computer easy distracts me from doing my homework. It's always a big distraction to me.
-Monique Llamas p.2
My temptation would have to be electronics because I am always watching T.V on the computer or Txting people. My tempetation would be electronics because they can distract me very easy to. Frexample i can be doing my homework in the livingroom but than ill just start watching T.V instead of doing my homework. Therefore electronics are a big distraction for people now days.
- Karina Morelos Per.1
My temptation would have to be electronics. No matter what I am doing, I always have my electronics with me. I can not resist using my iPod. Most of the day the only thing that I am doing is listening to my music. Electronics are definitely a big distraction for me.

Does the media confuse love and lust? How do you know the difference?
Love and lust may be portrayed as two sides of the same coin at times by the media. Emotions such as love are far more complex than primal urges among the type lust is. Love is something difficult to find, hard to get in return, and something everyone should be given at their birth. Lust is a desire every person may feel towards another. Love can be pure, innocent, and may involve lust. Lust can be easily mistaken for feelings beyond desire, but it is usually far more shallow in the end.
Fernando D. P-2
I believe that the Media does confuse love and lust, you see in movies men leaving their wives for younger ladies and sometimes the media portrays this as love and not lust. You should know the difference between love and lust because love is something unexplanible, when someone ask you why you love them you shouldan't have an answer. But with lust if your explanation is the way they look, thats most definately lust.
~Alyssa A. p.2
I believe that the media does confuse love and lust because lust is more for satisfaction and love is a complete different thing. In movie and tv shows, you see two people having lust for each other and they protray it as love. Love is not lust live is something we dont knw how to really explain.
-Mark Galvan per.1
I think that the media confuses love and lust all the time. They always show movies that portray lust and love all of the time. Love is something you are supposed to feel, not something you say. Lust is not the desire to be around someone, love is.
Lauren P. Period 1
I believe Love and Lust are confusing when it comes to the media. I think they are over thinking the two words. Love is a strong feeling towards one person, as to where Lust is just to satisfy one's needs. When it comes to Love, you don't expect anything in return from a certain person, as for Lust, it's caring for someone who can give you what you want. Lust is a sexual desire to someone, when Love is a passionate romance you can give and recieve.
Esteban Ojeda P.1
I believe what the media defines as lust and love are completely different based on what is shown on tv and movies. They show how love is something so beautiful and perfect, but in reality there is no such thing as perfect. Love is something that takes time and deication. Its something tha when you truly love someone, shouldnt have to think about. Its a word that should be used only when you really mean it. Lust is a desire or strong attraction towards someone.
~Rayven Adams P.2
In my mind, Lust is like "Hey! I'd hit that"; lust is like a physical attraction. Love seems deeper, more about an attraction to the non-external side of the thing you feel emotion towards; however, I do believe that lust is a part of love because how can you show love with out lust? In the media, the product/movie usually prevokes the love with a kiss or sexual relations, which tends to fall more into the lust-side. To answer the question: No, I don't think they mix it up.
-Dylan Harris, Period 2
I would say the the media does confuse love and lust. Love is having a true conection with someone and wanting to spendqualitiy time with them. Lust is a mere physical attraction and it dosen't mean that you have feelings for that person. When watching tv, just because someone kisses or hugs someone else it dosn't mean they love one another. They could be friends, or they could be entertaining each other. Though these two can be confused its important to remember that love isn't perfect.
-Amanda Gaba period 1
I believe that the media mixes love and lust up all the time. Lust is described as a sinful action in the bible. While love is a deeper more romantic feeling than "hit it then quit it". If someone really loves another person it is not for what they look like, rather who they are or what they do. In movies it depicts people "falling in love" then having sex. Therefore, I Believe that the media/movies/TV shows are trying to show love and lust as the same thing.
B Jones p1
I belive they media mistakes them up a plethora of times. Lust is most of the time sinful. and may be portrayed as a bad thing. while love is something everyone wishes to have. Its hard to find and something hard to return. I also believe the media taoday is trying to convince that love and lust are the same things.
-Sabrina Bill<3
I strongly believe that the media mixes up lust and love. Love has a positive affect on people and has deeper meaning to it. Lust on the other hand is characterized as something that has to do with bad choices that are made.
~Gaby Gallegos Period 2
I do believe that media does mix the way they see love and lust. I believe that the media makes us see the way we should love, but to be honest, in the movies they mix it with lust. Lust is a sexual desire towards one another. In the movies and news magazines. In movies, they always have to have a sexual scene. love isn't always about the sexual desire between one another, but the feelings towards one another. The way you feel towards someone, and not what is in their pants. love is from the heart, lust is from the pants.
-Elizabeth Cole P.2
I do believe that the media confuses love and lust. Love is felt when you have a connection with someone and lust is pretty much having sexual relations with someone for their looks and not the personality.

I do believe that the media does confus love and lust at times. love and lust are two totally diferent things. love is something unexplainable. if you love somebody you cant explai why because you just do. and lust you canexplain why they are two diffferent thins.

I do think that media confuses love and lust. Love is when you don't care about physical appearance but what is on the inside. It's a emotion that can't be explained. Lust is an emotion that is easily felt and easily explained. It's to desire someone sexually not caring what they're like on the inside. You can look at a complete stranger and lust after them. But it takes a much longer time to be able to say you love someone. Love takes time and is about having a deep connection with a certain person.

Yes i do believe the media confuses love from lust. In many ocasions love is something that is unexplainable, a feeling that comes within the heart. When it is confused with feelings that are portrayed as love but in reality its nothing its peer lust. Love is felt but lust is said and unfelt for.
-Yasmin Serrano, Period 2
Love and lust is the same for the media. The media try to make people believe they need something from their partner such as a sexual relationship. In movies they make people look desperate for sex and such and that they can't live without it, but they don't notice its lust not love. Since love is unexplainable the media goes and tries to explain/show us what it is
