In Fahrenheit 451, Prof. Faber says people have no time to think. Do you take time to think? When?

most of the time i can think about things, but when it comes to making quick decisions there isnt much time. when i am by myself i have time to think. wen playing sports i have limited time to think.

-Hector Acosta

I always take time to think. I do it all the time even while I am talking to someone I will be thinking to myself about something else.

Emmanuel Mojica Period 4

I most definitely have time to think, I normally can not sleep until around 1:30, 2:00 a.m., so from the time I try to sleep, which is around 12:00, to then is when I do all of my thinking. Which is probably why I can't sleep, because I don't shut my mind down.

-Ally Hovencamp, p.6

I always have time to think. Everyday before I go to sleep, I lay down on the floor get into a comfortable position. Then after that I take a deep breath, I count up to 5 while I inhale. After that I exhale and count to 5. I keep repeating this until I fall asleep. Doing this just doesn't help me think, reflect what I did that day, but it also help me control my brething and relax.

-Diana P.

Period 6

Yes I always have time to think about things. Mostly at night when I'm laying down in my bed my mind just goes and goes and never shuts off til late. I always try to think of how my day went, what I did bad and good and the things I can prove on for the next day.

-Brianna V

p.4

I usually always have time to think. I'm always thinking before I fall asleep, when I'm eating, or when I'm just really bored. I think it is really difficult for people not to have time to think because no matter what your always going to have to be thinking about something.

Victor J Period 4

Yes, I have time to think. When im laying in bed, textinng my friends, i think about everything. I dont have just one thing that I focus on. I think about my day, and how it could have been better as well as my life and what i want from it.

~Paige A. Period 6

Yes, I do have the time to think. After school and during the weekend I have plenty of time. Thinking about things I do really frequently. I like to think about almost anything in the world and I have the time to do it. BEcause of all the extra time I have I think alot even when I am busy working or playing.

Wayne Keithley P.4

I take time to think every day. I'm not going out of my way to think or anything, but when I'm trying to sleep, or when I'm on the bus, or waiting for the microwave to be done, I think. It's not something I feel I have to go out of my way to do. I guess I space out a lot, so whenever I do anything I'm thinking. I have ADHD, so my mind is never still.

Mason Meeks, Period 4

I have time to think all the time for insistence, when I am at lunch or walking to class. When I run that is when I do much of my thinking. I think in between anything I am doing. Sometimes I will zone out at random times during the day and start thinking like crazy. I am constantly thinking all day long no matter what I am doing.

Darby Biggs P.4

Yes i have time to think. when i think is when im walking, sitting, or laying down. i think all time.

-Nick Northup P.4

I am constantly thinking. I love to think and think and think. I feel that is the way i express myself and get to know myself better as a person and to realize the important activities and such going on around me. I think all the time. I never stop because if I were to then I would probably be having too much fun. Thinking is sort of a hobby to me because I can understand better and talk to myself and figure things out. Sometimes when I think it is like a jig-saw puzzle and I love to put the pieces together. For example, when you watch a suspenseful thriller or the book we are reading right now, Fahrenheit 451. Anyways, I think constantly, I always have time to think, thinking is my best friend; I would not be able to live without that type of will power.

Gabriella A. 6th period

I Have time to think all day but i think best in the shower and before bed. I always have time to wonder the universe when its quiet and i am all alone that only happens at two times when i am sleeping and when i am taking a shower.

Dante F P.4

i think to myself all the time, while i walk, while i eat, before i go to sleep, it's like talking to myself in my head.

-aracely m :))))))) p. 4

I always take time to think. I can not not think through out my day. I mostly think when I talk which is weird but it is true. That is why I sometimes say things I'm not supposed to because I don't think about what I'm going to say before I say it because I'm already thinking about something else.

Kayley Hall Period 6

I always take time to think, I always think right after I hear a song thats about love or sadness for some reason? I usually always think the most when I am laying down and have my ihome on i play my playlist and turn the volume up and just lay down on my bed and think about all the things that i feel i should take the time to think about. I think when im eating sometimes i zone out and look at something in particular.

Jennifer Flores

Per: 6

I always take time to think. I think that is my problem. Im always thinking about something else at the wrong times. For example in class, or at night, which keeps me from being able to go to sleep.

Marvin C. Per. 6

I always take time to think. It is important that you take your time and do things right the first time. I always take the time to think when I am in class taking a test. Taking the time to think and considering all your options first will save you from making a lot of decisions that you will soon regret.

- Olivia A, Per 4

I always make time to think. At night especially that's when i could think all night. I make lists and everything to see how everything is going to turn out or plan how i want everything to go. Sometimes i think too much and i start over analyzing things which get me in bad situations. But i think all the time.
-Aries L, p4

I always have time to think. Though, I rearly take time to think about a response to someone so ill end up saying something stupid, but other than that i do think.

Erica Hall P-6

I do not really take time to think but I still have time to think. As you walk to class you can think . If you are at home waiting for something you can sit and think. But I really do not need seperate time to thing unless I have a very important situation to think about.

B goddard

I do take time to think constantly about different things. The times i think are just whenever i have time to my self whether it is at school or home.

-Oscar L, P.4

I always take time to think but i usually do it when i'm alone either at home in my room or outside walking. AT school it is difficult to think sometimes because your friends are there and thats why it's hard for me to do some work in class that calls for thinking but i try doing it anyways.

Luisa C. Per: 6

I always have time to think. I believe life requires alot of thinking, when it comes to school, work, projects or even making decisions. Carrying out decisions or plans without having thought about it can lead to a mistake. That's why people should think before they act because it might keep them from alot of trouble.

Katherine Vazquez

Period. 04

I do take time to think when someone asks me a deep question. When it is something that is very serious I cant just answer right away becuase i want to make sure that they get a good immpression of me.

Ra'Jhon Sykes Per. 4

I have time to think all the time. Whether I am asked a question in school or if I should do something or not I take time to think. I can get distracted, but I still stop and think. If I am asked a serious question that deserves a serious answer I take quite a while to think about it. I think when I am at home, when I ride my horses, when I am doing chores, when I am doing school work, and when I am with my friends. I try my best to portray my intelligence to others and thinking about a question or life itself is important to me.

Charlene H Per. 4

I have time to think, yet at times I do not bother with it. The times where I do think is when I feel like being responsible.

Valerie Masson, Period 4

I always have time to think. No matter what im doing or where i am i am always thinking about something, espeially when im about to go to sleep. :)

-Vanessa Gonzalez p6

Week of Jan. 9

(Wait until you've finished the book.)

What was your favorite scene in Farhenheit 451? Briefly describe.

When beatty gets killed by montag. it was my favorite scene because beatty practicaly baited montag into killing him.

-Nick Northup

My favorite scene in Farhenheit 451 was when Montag showed up at Faber's house after killing Beatty. I liked this scene over all the rest because Faber made a decision that I try to live by which is if you make a bad decision, it is your responsibility to get yourself out. There will be no one there to bail you out and no one to put the blame on. You can't live your life depending on others because in the end we are all on our own. Faber was my favorite character in this story and he made the right decision by telling Montage to solve this on his own. Faber didn't make any excuses for him, he told him the truth and I think that was being a better friend than trying to bail him out of something that was his own mistake. Not helping him did not make him a bad friend, instead it made him the kind of person we all need in our life which is someone to give us the best advice even if that means we still get punished for what we did.

- Olivia A, Per 4

One of my favorite scene in Farhenheit 451 was when Montag killed Beatty. When Montag hit him with the car and hit his middle finger. I first didnt understand until in class you explained it to us. But the part I liked the most was when met with the "Book People" and then realized that all he had done in life was burn books, and that he didnt wanted to be remebered as Ash. I thought this book was good, for the writer Ray Bradbury not only made us realize that life is actually being controled buy violence and other bad things but also made us realize that knowledge is something very valuable.

-Diana P

Period 6

My favorite scene was probably when Montag meet Clarisse. I liked it because of the way he descrfibed her. She was like a mysterious outgoing girl that caught his attention by the way she did and saw things different then he did. I think this made the whole book because he realized at the end that that their is a different way of seeing things.

-Brianna V.

p.4

My favorite scene in Farhenheit 451 was when the atomic bomb dropped and destroyed the town. It was really unexpected and that was why I enjoyed it, Montag was just talking to the book people and BOOM, city gone. But it was cool because now Montag and the book people get to try to change society, the way people think, and see things.

-Michael D P.4

Me favorite scene in Fahrenheit 451 was when Beatty was giving his speech to Montag. I like this scene because when he is explaining how their future society is incredibly fast-paced it reminded me a lot of our society, and how we don't just take things slowly anymore. That scene makes you stop to wonder about your own life and society and how our society can be a lot like theirs at times.

-Ally Hovencamp .. p.6

My favorite scene in Fahrenheit 451 was when Montag was talking to Faber. It showed that Montag did not want to be trapped by a society that limits knowledge. Montag is curious and wants to learn, so Faber acts as his teacher. Together they discover what is wrong abbout their society.

-Charlene Howell P.4

My favorite part of Fahrenheit 451 was when he met the book people. They were college professors that memorized libraries of book. this gave me hope because it shows that there are people in this world who would sacrifice everything in the name of knowledge.

Dante f p.4

After he had murdered Captain Beatty, Montag had been declared a fugitive and was on the run. I could imagine that transition from a “utopian” and “blithe” life to frightened runaway so suddenly. It is a petrifying and weakening experience, I imagine.

Wesley Smith, Period 4

My favorite scene from Fahrenheit 451 was when Mildred over dised pills & when the people came and they weren't specialist and it was normal for them because people try to commite suicide.

-neyra b p.6

My favorite part of Fahrenheit 451 is when montag met clarisse, He got to change the way he use to looks at things, because of her Montag was a surviver if she never would've been weird and made him a weird person too he would died in the bomb like others.

Jennifer Flores

Per" 6

My favorite part of Fahrenheit 451 would have to be when Montag killed Beatty. I know that killing someone is wrong but Beatty had it coming. Not only did he he just burn Montags house down but then he had the guts to hand Montag the flamethrower. I thought it was kind of arrogant of him to do that.

Victor J Period 4

My favorite part of Fahrenheit 451 was when He started liking Clarisse because i think that he deserved someone better than Mildred, but then again almost everyone was like Mildred. I was sad that Clarisse left but at least she sparked a rebellion in him before leaving. -Inderjeet S. Per. 6

The best scene in Fahrenheit 451 would be the scenes with Clarisse. I thought she was extremely interesting. I liked how she thought in depth and it seemed as if she enjoyed life.

Taylor Buyak
Period 4

My Favorite scene was when Montag met Clarisse. Clarisse made montag think about their society. Because of Clarisse he had a different view on how the society is. She really changed Montag life in many different ways. Clarisse was a smart young lady which showed montag that he could be just like that.

Darby Biggs
p.4

My favorite scene from Fahrenhait 451 was when he read the peom to all those ladies and about war and one of the women started to cry. I felt that, in this part it was very powerful.

Ra'Jhon Sykes Per.4

My favorite scene in Fahrenheit 451 is when Montag is on the run. It has you on edge and it is kind of like and action movie. Its scary for him because he is trying to get away from the mechanical hound but had a good plan with faber to hide his sense by drinking liquor and wearing fabers clothes.

B Goddard

My favorite part in the book was when Montag killed Beatty. That was my favorite part because i didnt expect Montag to do something like that and i feel like Beatty got what he deserved.

Marvin C. Per. 6

My favorite scene in Farenheit 451 was when the bomb hit the city. this was my favorite part because the book people and montag go to the city and there's hope that they change the ways to help the people.

-Luisa C. Per:6

My favorite scene in the book was when Montag kills beatty. Beatty is taunting him and is actually telling Montag to kill him. In the book , Beatty talks about how he is so happy and how they live in a happy world. So why would Beatty want to die?

Katherine V.

Period 04

My favorite scene in the book was when Montag met Clarisse because that's when Monatg started to change his mind about what has happened. I also liked the way he described the young girl. I think she changed him the way he thought and everything. I say she changed him throughout the whole whole novella.

-Aries Lopez

p4.

My favorite part in the book is when Montag meets Clarisse. This is my favorite part because she brings him so much joy and awakens him from all of the gloominess he has been going through.
Valerie Masson, Period 4

My favorite part was when Montag was running away. A new mechanical Hound was released and a on a hunt after montag. Everyone was watching the chase on T.V. He stopped by fabers house and that took away time from getting father away. It was a dramatic and interesting scene to read.

-Gennesi M. Period 6 :D
