What does freedom mean to you?
freedom to me means that you have right and the ability to decide for yourself. there are still rules to follow, but there is still the feeling of freedom. freedom also means the feeling of protection. when your free you feel great and you feel like you you can do aything.

Freedom to me means practically every detail of my beleifs. Freedom to say what you need to say. Freedom to stand up for what you believe in. Freedom to be with the person you want to be with, nomatter what others say. Freedom is a way of life to people, but some of us take as a joke and do whatever they want. True freedom is humanity, the ability to have humanity.

The ability to have a say in this world. At least getting to speak your mind and let everyone know, yes I am a citizen and yes I do have rights and eligible to talk freely. That is what freedom is to me. Not many humans can say that due to their circumstances, but in America we do have freedom. Not a whole chunk or as much as we wish we could have, but we do live in "The Land of the Free". Just to spit out the words you have on your mind and to give your perspective of things is what freedom truly means to me.

Freedom is good. If there is freedom you can make your own choices or have the same rights as others. It does not mean you can do anything because some people would do even more stupid things then what they all ready do. What i mean is that your able to scream from the top of your lungs, your able to say what you believe in without getting shot or killed! Freedom is not free. In my eyes people take the word freedom for granted. They think inside the great walls of America that they dont see how or why we are free. American soliders fight for our justice and "some" taxes are used for good. People are able to go to the religion of their chice, if they want one and we are able to make our voices count. Do you have any superstitions or rituals you practice? Briefly describe one.
I don't believe in much superstitions but if I had to chose one it would be the walking under a ladder one. Some people think that if you walk under a ladder then you get bad luck. I kind of believe this because I remember that when I was little I walked under a ladder and then a couple hours later my dad stepped on my favorite movie and completely destroyed it.

The only superstition I take part in is to wear your favorite football team's jersey on the day they are playing. I really do not believe that if you wear that jersey your team will win, or even that it is good luck. This really doesn't make sense, because say the Ravens are playing the Chargers, there will be Chargers fans and Ravens fans all wearing jerseys, and both teams cannot win. So therefor I just wear my Giants jersey for fun and in support of my team.

I don't really believe in superstitions but if I had to chose one it would be the black cat. It always seems like whenever I see or look a black a black cat in the eye I always have bad luck the next day. I f I do happen to come upon one I usually try too walk away as fast as I can and not look it in the eye.

Being in the Jewish religion there are many rituals we do. Starting from sunrise to sunset. But one of the most important rituals we do is Shabbat. I believe that this is the most important ritual we do because we do it every week on a special time and with special prayers. We rest that day and celebrate it for G-D had rested that day after creating the world. We celebrate it with prayers, food, and friends. But a thing that in my family we do that i believe is more special is that in the night of Sabbath is that after praying and celebrating we go and whatever was left of the day we go and give it to homeless. We don’t just thank G-D for that day but we also share it with people who don’t have food to eat in a special day like Shabbat.

I feel stupid for typing this. BUT I did. I believe that superstition is controlled by undiscovered semi-sentient sub-atomic particles. Most superstitions I believe in like opening an umbrella inside a house. These small particles receive feeling, much like us, by opening that umbrella and, in reaction, they do something about it in an extremely elaborate way that is nearly impossible for human brains to understand or, most frustratingly, write!

I am pretty superstitious, I guess. Whenever I spill salt, I throw a bit over my shoulder. I always knock on wood whenever I say or hear something that can bring bad luck, as well. I freak out over all that junk, whether it is breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder, or opening an umbrella inside. I do not think that believing in superstitions makes me ignorant or stupid, because not everything has logical explanations; there are some things I just accept.

I am in a way superstitious however it is mostly out of playing around, I truly do not believe in them. I would say that the most superstitious thing I believe in is breaking a mirror. That is why I am careful with mirrors because I do not want bad luck for all of those years.

I do not believe in superstitions, but I do have this superstition about when people jinks things. For example, if someone was to say we are going to lose our game next week I would unhesitantly knock on wood for them or force them to knock on wood because I do not want them to come true. I do this because I believe that they are jinksing us and I do not want it to come true. I do not have any rituals, I just live my life peacefully.

I do not believe in supersitions. I think over the time poeple just made weird things up and other people believd it. If there is one supersition that i i will do occasionally only because i find it fun is through salt over my shouder. I have no idea what that is for but i will do it. I find it fun and im ALWAYS eating salt with my food,i love salt, so what a perfect way to hopefully get good luck. But i dont believe in good luck coming because i through salt over my shoulder. OI just dont understand the purpose of them.

I do not believe in superstitions. In the sports world alot of people believe in superstitions and rituals. I play sports and dont believe in them. When basketball players are at the free throw line they have what some call a ritual. Before my free throw attempts i dribble the ball three times then spin it before shooting but i dont see it as a ritual. It is a part of the technique in your shot and it does not give you good luck. It is just something you do to focus on the shot.

I am a vary superstitious person. I never pick up a penny facing heads down and get if it is face up i get excited. My grandfather on my dads side is vary superstitious too, and i think hes Irish. i know lots of old superstitions like black cats crossing your path if a chair falls when you get up and i even heard that it is terrible bad luck if you turn off the lights while your family is eating dinner if that happens one of your family members will die before the end of the year.

I am a superstitious person. Every time I hear a noise or little ring on any side of my ear i always ask any person which side it is on. If they pick the right side its on then it means someone is talking good about you and if they pick the wrong side where the little ring isn't ringing then someone is talking bad about you. I have way more other things that are superstitious, anyway I do have plenty of rituals as well for example right when its new years Ieat 12 grapes and make a wish with each grape. I also wear new clothes, and red and yellow for the symbol of money and love

I am not really a superstitious person, but my family does believe in somethings. For example they believe that if you sit on the corner of a table, you don't get married. I don't personally understand that saying but, I tend to try not to sit on the corners of tables. Also, they say it's bad luck to try on a wedding gown before you are engaged to be married, it is said that if you try on the gown you will not be married.

Huck feels "free and easy and comfortable" on the raft. Where do you feel like that? Briefly explain.
Where I feel free and easy and comfortable is anywhere where I can just laydown relax and be calm. Where I would feel this way is when I sit down outside my house, under the tree, and read a book or just see people in my neighborhood. I like sitting down feeling the air around me and here the beautiful music that nature itself can make. When I lay down i like to look up to the sky, see the clouds and count the leaves tha the wind caries off the tree.

I most relaxed when i am wathcing a movie in my room with the lights off. When the only sound i can hear is the noice from my headphones. It is so calm it feels like i am the only one in the world and all my problems have melted a way.

The place were i feel free and easy is at the camp Penalton beach. I go there so often we have a spot right on the beach just less than 20 feet from were the ocean kisses the sandy shore. The rocks in the sand make the most soothing sound at night when the waves it them. If you lucky the water receeds and you can walk in a reef were you can see crabs, snails, fish, and even lobster in the shollow shore. I feel so free walking and exploring there.

When I feel most free and easy and comfortable was when there is a light drizzle outside, and I keep warm by wearing two shirts. In addition, the sky has a dark grey hue to it, there are leaves on the ground- which add that organic, lively "crunch" sound- and, there are towering trees with poofy, green afros. Theres a cool, thirst quenching breeze that flows from Tranquility's minty-fresh mouth. Finally, I walk upon the trackless ground, lost.

I feel free, easy and comfortable when I am in my room. I feel free because I can do whatever I want, to an extent in my room. I feel easy because I am carefree and when it is the weekend, I don't have to worry about homework. I feel comfortable on my bed. When I come back from vacations or being gone for the weekend, all I want is my bed.

When I go out for a run or while I am out for a bike ride, the soft breeze towards my face makes me feel a bit more free and comfortable. I do not take bike rides very often, but when I do I usually go out for a couple of hours because that is when I have my alone time and I am able to be out of the house and into a different world where I have no rules and obligations to fulfill. I also get to get in a workout and working out makes me feel really good and accomplished when I am done because of all that fat coming off of me. Working out, running, and bike riding make me feel free, easy and comfortable.

When i go out for a horse back ride through the mountains i feel free and comfortable. I feel as if no one can touch me and all my worries fade. When i am out in the middle of no where and there is no people, no noise, i feel relaxed and free. When i ride through the hills i let go of the reins and let my horse lead me, and the places that i go, the things i see, make me feel free, easy, and comfortable. Untill he sees something "scary" and spokes, then i go flying through the air, and i dont feel very comfortable then.

The place where I feel free and easy is at night on my porch swing, what i do is plug in my ihome and open my window and just play music and just lay down on the swing. Im always hearing music outside and just think about my life. OR ever is on my mind at that time. Its one of the most relaxing things i can ever do! Most of the time I lay on the swing and look up at the stars while hearing music in the background it tends to make it more relaxing and more thinking.

The one place where I feel free, easy, and comfortable is when I am sitting by my window at night looking at the stars. To me, looking up at the night sky filled with stars and the bright moon is the most peaceful sight to see. I listen to music and the peacefulness of the starry night makes me feel calm and at peace. It gets me to think about how lucky I am to be where I am at now and the type of life I have.

The one place I feeel comfortable is when im in the middle of a soccer field playing. When im at a soccer field I feel like i can do any tricks that i want. I feel free at the socccer field because I can run. I feel free, easy, and comfortable when I am in my room. I can watch TV, play video games, dance and sing when listening to music, and do whatever I want while no one is watching me. There is no one there judging me or watching what I do. I can just relax and think to myself. I can be in my pajamas, hair all messy, and not care what anyone thinks. My room is a relaxing place I can go to without being distracted by anyone else.

A place where i feel free,easy, and comfortable is when i'm playing softball. That's where i feel that i could be who ever i want its a place where you dont think about homework or how other people look at you. To your team you look like a teammate to your opponents you just look like a girl that is playing softball. I feel free and easy i just love the feeling when im playing even if i might not be as good as the other girls i see, its an amazing feeling. If i could practice every single day softball i would be the mostly relieved person instead of being all stressed. Thats my one place.

In Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck and Jim build a friendship as they travel the Mississippi River together. Briefly, do you find friendships easy to form or do you need time to get to know someone well enough to call them a friend? What do you look for in a friend?
I do find friendships to be built easily. I personally think i need to know someone well to call them a friend. sometimes you dont need to know them very well you just automatically have that connection that their a friend. what i look for in a friend is loyal
I would definitely say I need time to get to know someone before I can call them a friend. A friend is someone you can trust, talk to about anything, and know they will always be there for you. For me, it takes a while to call someone a friend because I really have to know them and understand them. I always look for trust in a friendship. If I do not trust someone then I would not consider them a friend.

A friend, to me, is pretty much someone you get along with. i can have a friend in no time but for them to be a close friend it would take some time. there i look or people i can depend on or me to call them a true friend. someone you can tell secrets too and know they wont tell anone else.

They would be there whenever I need them and they have to be dependable. I think that friendships are relatively easy to form depending on who the person is and whether or not you happen to be trying.

I am not very good at making friends. I have known most of my closest friends for ages, so I don't have much practice, I guess. Because I am kind of awkward, and shy it takes me a while to get to know people. Sometimes. though, like with my best friend, we can hang out for five minutes and I'll decide I would give this person an organ if they ever needed it.

I make friends very easily, it doesn't take a lot for me to make a new friend. But I choose my close friends wisely and make sure I can honestly trust the person I consider one of my best friends. So it depends on how well I get to know the person and how close they are to me for what category they're in.

What I look for in a friend is innocence and morality. If they scream "party foul" or "fail" frequently and at the top of their lungs and be annoyingly rude, they cannot be friends with me. With polite and guilt-less, than we are friends, whether we have met or not. This makes friendships exceptionally easy to form.

For me, I believe that it is easy to make friends. I just go up to a person, ask them questions, talk about what we have incomen and see what stuff they like. I really don't look anything special in a person or a friend. All i realy expect from them is to be honest and be how they are and not try to act like somone they aren't. I believe that if you expect something from a person that you do not know well then the friendship will not work. But one thing that i do expect a friend to be is to be loud, fun, and to deal with my way of being.

I make friends considerably easy, but when it comes to close friends where I can tell everything to it takes me some time to see who that person really is and how there personality is like. When it comes to a close friend I look for responsibility, humor, kindness, compassion,trust ability common interests, and just a person I can have a good conversation with. I think friends are important to have but I would rather have one extremely good friend than one-hundred regular friends.

For me it is sometimes easy to form a friendship with someone, but it takes time to get to know someone well enough for me to actually become close to them. In a friend I look for someone who is honest, trustworthy, sincere, understanding, and loyal. They need to have a good sense of humor, share common interests, and I have to be able to trust them.

In a friend I look for some one who is honest, real, that doesn't back stab you or talk bad about you when your not there, loyal, I don't really expect much just to be a real friend and to be honest so that I can be able to trust in him/her.

For me I would say i would need sometime to actually get to know the person first. Ive been backstabbed before by a friend because I never really saw their true colors so I'm usually always having my guards up when It comes down to it.

For me its kind of easy and kind of hard because i am really shy but once i start talking i go keep on going. Whenever i see a new person i always think that they are as nice as i am and i have had a backstabbing betrayal before from one of my best friend since then i kind of hesitate before talking to a person. I find friendships easy to form, however I need time to trust the person. In a friend, I look for honesty and loyalty. If I can’t trust them, I don’t want to be telling them things I don’t want anyone to know. Friends should be there for you when you need them. I like to avoid all that drama of not liking someone.

Well in my opinion making friends for me is fairly easy, yet hard because I put my guard up too much. I set up walls and expect new comers to climb over them or accept them, but that is never the case. They tend to break them and become masterminds and let me know that this is not who I am. To be my friend you just have to have a sense of humor, free-spirited mind set, and positivity because if you look at the world with a negative view I am just going to blow you off or grow distant from you. Making friends I believe is easy for me, but making close friends is hard because there is a level of trust and communication. Yet, I do not believe I make friends, I think I make acquaintances better because calling you my “friend” is a commitment and calling you my acquaintance lets me know that you are here until we part ways in high school. I look for honesty, trust, a sense of humor, positivity, having a free-spirited mind set, always happy and up lifting, crazy, wild, out-going type of person. Mainly what I look for in a friend is someone who has been with me in the long run and understands where I am coming from and knows my situation and will stick with me until the end. A friend to me is someone great indeed.

It is always easy to make a new friend. It can always be that you have something in common witht them or that you are always hanging out. I would have to say that to have a relationship with someone always needs time. I can not to that with in a week or maybe a month. I can make a friend easy, but i never trust anyone. In my opinion, trust no one. I like having friends to hang out, and do crazy stupid things but as for me, i dont like telling people personal things, i feel as if they dont car because it is none of their buisness. In a friend i look for someone just to make me laugh. My real good friends that i really hang out with i have known since elemetry school. It takes alot of time to build a true friendship.

I find it easy to make friends. I give everyone my trust untill they do something to destroy it. I'm a social person i like to meet new people every now and then. I keep myself open to new people by keeping my gaurd down and being friendly. Years ago i would have such a high gaurd that i wouldn't talk to anyone, but a few selective people.

I do find friendships to be built easily. I personally think i need to know someone well to call them a friend. sometimes you dont need to know them very well you just automatically have that connection that their a friend. what i look for in a friend is loyal thats my number one thing, and then after that goes niceness, kindhearted and just friendly :)

Even though i act like a social person, it is extremely hard for me to find a person who i can truly call my friend. Making friends is some what easy for me. I really have never had to put an effort in making friends until high school started because I went to a small school from preschool until eighth grade and we had the same people in our class from that time. When high school came it was my first time to really have to try and make new friends. It was not difficult but a new challenge for me. A friend to me is someone i can be myself with, be weird around, and someone who won't judge me. I have made many friends but only a few have became super close to me. One who typically has caught my heart is very important to me. We do the most stupidest stuff together and can be weird around one another. I can see us being best friends forever because that is how strong our friendship is.

Some people might warm up to eachother instantly and others not so much. I think to be a friend you have to be there for someone no matter what and they need qualities that you like.

With Huck it was much easier for him to become friends with Jim because they have been through a journey together. They share some of the same emotions because they are stuck in the same position of running away. So of course they were going to become friends because they each are the only ones that are by each other's side. I think it all depends how much time you spend with that person and if they are some one you would hang out with and if you like their way of being. For example, in a friendship i look for trust because i want to be able to trust them. They also have to be talkative and have a nice personality.

I belive that friendships are easy to build if you are willing. Some people would take time and actually get to know someone before calling them a 'friend'. I personally can call my self 'friends' with many people. It may generally relate to how friendly you might be, or what intrestes you share with someone. Huck likes to put on disguises and pretend to be somebody else. Did you ever pretend to be someone or something you're not? Was it fun? Did fool anyone?
I did, indeed, attempt to impersonate someone. When I had long hair two years ago on Halloween, I looked similar to my cousin, Ben. I put on some of his clothes and ended up fooling my grandmother and another cousin. I struggled like a boss to keep myself from laughing. A few minutes later, he barges in with underwear over his pants ( because he copied my idea of being Captain Underpants for Halloween) singing “Hey kids, who wants candy!?” Then he saw me. The looks on my family’s faces- invaluable!

The only time I've pretended to be someone I'm not was when I was in theatre when I was younger, I was really into acting and was in too many plays to count, I sang, as was the lead in many plays. I'd like to think the audience thought I portrayed the character I was playing well.

I did try to pretend to be me older brother a couple years ago. It was around three o clock in the morning and I woke up feeling very thirsty so I went to the kitchen and served myself a glass of water. Then I heard my parents bedroom door open and for some reason I decided it would be funny to impersonate my brother so I turned off the lights and waited. My mom was the one who ended up going into the kitchen and I was able to fool her until she tuned on the lights.

Once at seaworld i pretended to be a Redneck jedi. I bought a orange light saver( some people... may say it was red but it was not it was orange!). I ran aound the park making whale sounds and doing awesome stunts ( some people... may say i did not do back flips and awesome stunts but i did! at least in my mind). I was so awesome that this group of foreign travelors asked if they can take my picture. I probley should have said no.. but it was to hallarious so i said yes. It was a great time and i dont think i had very many people fooled into thinking im a redneck jedi but, the memories for everyone last forever and i pulled a hamstring, that last for a long while.

Since I was young I enjoyed to play dress up, but I don't specifically remember a time where I fooled someone by acting as somebody other than myself. My friends and I usually pretend to be one another over the phone or in person when we cover someones eyes, we make them guess who it is and switch off hands to fool the person we are making guess.

Some times if a group of people are talking about some proffesional athlete or superstar i might joke and say oh yeah he is my cousin or uncle and they will believe me. I think one time i told someone that my uncle was Travis Pastrana and they believed me.

I don’t believe I’ve tried to be someone else, but I always voice characters from movies to my friends and cousins. We always have a good laugh and have fun. One time I did fool my mom, grandma, and my aunt because I came creeping up on them and they did not know it was me. I think everyone has tried to be someone once in their life because of Halloween, the holiday of impersonating a character or celebrity. I remember I was a power ranger, Darth Vader, and Arnold from the cartoon Hey Arnold!

I have pranked called someone at a party I was at because this one guy was bugging my friend. For example george lopez, gabriel iglesias, mada. they are my main people who i enjoy to be not appearence but what they say or ow they talk. When my brothers friends or his girlfriend call its funny to pretend that i am them because i have had full on conversations with other people and they actually believe that i am my brothers. My parents even fall for it sometimes, and when my brother walks in and they tell them it was me they get mad. i seem to do this a lot and get the feeling that it gets on their nerves and its funny that's why i keep pranking them!

The times where I have pretended to be someone else other then myself is when me and my friends so prank calls. Sometimes the person on the other side of the phone does not recognize who is talking and that is what makes it funny. We have a good time doing that.
